    Research Analyst - AutoIntelligence

    The Impact: 

    AutoIntelligence is a front-line, client facing product with considerable reach and impact. Supplying customers with up-to-the-minute analysis on key trends and drivers, combined with our world-leading forecast data, it allows our clients to move fast and make informed decisions.

    What’s in it for you:

    • AutoIntelligence is a dynamic, exciting front-line product where you are required to combine in-depth analysis and data with informed opinions to deadline.
    • Your role also allows for more in-depth primary and secondary research on key trends moving the industry as well as maintaining our ever-green competitor intelligence reports.
    • You will be our front person for local and international media, appearing in print, radio and TV with opportunities to grow in this area and become a recognized industry expert for S&P Global Mobility.
    • You will be working closely across our industry leading forecast teams in light, medium heavy vehicles as well as powertrain and components, with ample opportunity to grow and these areas.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and write short and longer analysis pieces for our daily update service.
    • Create topical one-off reports from primary and secondary research providing insight and analysis, backed by data and expertise from our forecasting divisions.
    • Update and maintain our competitor intelligence company and country reports using our forecast data.
    • Liaise with local and international media. Actively seek contacts and build relationships with media outlets.
    • Respond to client requests.
    • Work with teams and individuals across our core automotive disciplines.  

    What We’re Looking For:

    • The candidate will be already an Automotive industry expert, but willing to learn and integrate with our class leading team.
    • Educated to degree level and beyond and demonstrating 3- 5 years of experience in a relevant field of market/competitor intelligence, automotive journalism and/or analyst.
    • A motivated self-starter happy working on their own and in teams, you will demonstrate a keen interest in the industry and the technology and trends impacting the automotive world.
    • Strong written English language skills to publishing standards. Competent in excel and traditional office software.
