Research and Analyst Officer at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Computer literate – Office applications.
• Code B driver’s licence.
• One to two years' relevant experience

Key attributes and competencies:

• Able to conduct short to medium term research.
• Able to draft reports using data and information statistical data.
• Able to analyse complex data through the creation of spreadsheets and data.
• Able to summarise conclusion to analysis of certain proposed trends.
• Able to demonstrate understanding of monitoring and reporting systems as well as identifying service delivery challenges.
• Able to develop a research instrument and indicators.
• Able to develop and integrate partnership agreements.
• Able to consolidate research reports referring to statistical data.

Job purpose:

• Coordinating the implementation and administrating the short to medium term research projects for the Office of the Municipal Manager through developing of research instruments and indicators for evaluation, identification of research partners for information support to develop a detailed understanding of relevant technologies and approaches, conduct research, receiving and analysing system and procedures, undertaking quality assurance of research produced and ensuring that joint research project are carried out as planned in terms of the objectives encapsulated in the Integrated Development Plan of the Municipality. 
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
