Restaurant Hostess at Helderberg Personnel

Education and Experience:

• A minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Previous customer service or restaurant experience.

 Skills and requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Strong communication skills – both verbal and interpersonal.
• Friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Basic organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• May involve some light lifting (e.g. moving chairs or menus).

Responsibilities, not limited to:

• Greeting guests warmly and professionally.
• Managing reservations and waitlists.
• Escorting guests to tables.
• Coordinating with servers and kitchen staff for smooth operations.
• Answering phones and taking reservations.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the front-of-house area.
