Job Description

Our client, a well-established retail destination situated in the vibrant V&A Waterfront, is seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Assistant to contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting the store's dynamic environment.

Duties:

• Greet and assist customers with product selection and inquiries
• Demonstrate and explain Thule products, including installation guidance
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment, and support regular stock counts
• Support in-store promotions, events, and promotional displays
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating to the Store Manager when needed
• Follow store procedures and policies as set out in the company retail manual
• Stay up to date with product knowledge and promotions
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive store culture

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of retail or customer-facing sales experience
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
• Must be available to work weekends and public holidays
• Passion for outdoor activities, travel, or adventure gear
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer Service, Communication, RPE, Cash Handling, Product Knowledge

Familiarity with the following:

• Retail sales processes
• Customer service best practices
