Roof Repair Specialist at Tsebo Solution

• Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Roof Repair Specialist to inspect, maintain, repair, and restore roofing, guttering, and waterproofing systems across the Vacation Club facilities at Sun City Resort. The role is responsible for ensuring building integrity, preventing water ingress, maintaining safe roofing systems, and supervising roof and gutter cleaning activities in compliance with safety and operational standards.

Duties & Responsibilities    
Roof Inspection and Maintenance

• Conduct routine and ad hoc roof inspections.
• Diagnose roofing defects, leaks, and structural issues.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to extend roof lifespan.

Roof, Gutter and Waterproofing Repairs

• Perform roofing repairs and maintenance work.
• Repair and maintain gutters, downpipes, and drainage systems.
• Install and repair flashing and waterproofing systems.
• Resolve water ingress and leak-related issues.

Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to storm damage and roofing-related emergencies.
• Conduct temporary and permanent repairs to minimize operational disruption.
• Assess damage and recommend corrective actions.

Team Supervision

• Supervise Roof and Gutter Cleaners.
• Allocate work and monitor performance.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Ensure work is completed according to quality and safety standards.

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
• Adhere to Work at Heights regulations and fall protection requirements.
• Ensure safe roof access practices and correct use of protective equipment.
• Identify and report safety risks.

Reporting and Administration

• Maintain maintenance records and inspection reports.
• Document repairs completed and materials utilized.
• Report recurring defects and recommend improvements.

Qualifications    
Education

• Grade 12 (Matric).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in roofing, waterproofing, and building maintenance.
• Experience performing roof inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Experience working safely at heights.

Certifications and Licences

• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Competent Person for Work at Heights Certification (Mandatory).
• Trade-related qualification or equivalent roofing experience.
