    Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Officer (Glen Douglas)

    Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Have a relevant Diploma/ Degree
    • At least 2-3 years relevant experience
    • Strong Knowledge of relevant legislations
    • Qualified in implementation of EMS & MHS Act
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent telephone etiquette
    • Write, understand, and communicate in English
    • Microsoft package skills i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Have a valid, unendorsed driver’s licence
    • Willing to travel for work purposes

    The candidate will be responsible for

    • Coordination and implementation of the Safety, health and environmental system
    • Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety act and other applicable legislation
    • Ensure compliance with NEM act
    • Identify hazards and assess risks to health and safety
    • Put appropriate safety controls in place
    • Provide advice on accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees
    • Supporting the development of OHS policies and programs
    • Empowering the Health and Safety Representatives
    • Conducting audits and support site with external audits
