    Minimum Experience & Key Requirements

    • Human Resource Management qualification/degree (essential)
    • Driver’s license (essential)
    • Own vehicle (preferred)
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

    Communications Intern (Afrimat Management Services)

    The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience, with the following being the main responsibilities:

    • Assist in creating content for social media platforms, newsletters, internal magazines and press releases
    • Monitor all social medial platforms and check the company website for accuracy
    • Graphic design for social media and internal communications
    • Conduct research to support communication strategies and initiatives
    • Help manage online presence and monitor analytics

    Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Officer (Glen Douglas)

    Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Have a relevant Diploma/ Degree
    • At least 2-3 years relevant experience
    • Strong Knowledge of relevant legislations
    • Qualified in implementation of EMS & MHS Act
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent telephone etiquette
    • Write, understand, and communicate in English

    • Provide advice on accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees

    Buyer (Afrimat Mining Services)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Attributes

    • Business Administration, NDip, Procurement or Bookkeeping certificate will be advantageous
    • Drivers License and reliable transport
    • Technical Training in Microsoft Office
    • Minimum 5 years in a similar role (Mining or Construction)
    • Knowledge of E.R.P. systems (preferably AccPac and OnKey)
    • The incumbent must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment and must be able to work independently as well in a team environment
    • Must be South African citizen
    • Must be declared fit by an Occupational Medical Practitioner to perform work on a mine in line with the code of Practice to Perform Work on a Mine and Mines Health and Safety Act
    • Disciplined individual that have excellent time keeping skills, have a good record of work attendance and sober habits
    • Must be willing to work overtime as and when required to do so and be available to work standby
    • Must display ability to read, write and communicate in English

    Duties / Responsibilities

    • The position is responsible for effectively and productively executing all assigned pricing, procurement and order expediting activities
    • Sourcing & Procurement activities including the administration of the procurement function
    • End User Requirements interpretation
    • Pricing enquiries
    • Tender adjudication & Vendor selection
    • Issue resolution
    • Order expediting
    • General Sourcing & Procurement activities
    • Knowledge of BBBEE procurement requirements

    People Management Officer (SA Block)

    Responsibilities (but not limited to the following):

    • The ideal candidate should be a mature individual who is punctual and has good time management
    • High energy levels and meticulous attention to detail is required
    • The successful candidate will be responsible, but not limited to, for the following:
    • Providing effective and efficient People Management advice and guidance to staff and management team
    • Manage the recruitment and selection process in line with the business’s needs
    • Employee queries – wages, provident fund, bonuses etc
    • Manage Web Register - timesheets, overtime, production bonus
    • Leave applications – sick, annual, AWP, maternity, IOD registrations
    • Monitor absenteeism, issue warnings, schedule disciplinary hearings, minute meetings, including but not limited to reporting and filing
    • Book and manage medicals (annual/entry/exit)
    • Submission of payroll on a monthly basis
    • Closely working with and assisting the L&D Officer with training and development

    Minimum Qualification/ Experience:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification preferably a degree in People Management or Industrial Psychology
    • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Operational experience will be advantageous
    • Knowledge and experience with Employment Equity
    • Ability to address employee relations professionally, consistently, fairly, and with empathy
    • Positive attitude and hardworking
    • Must have knowledge of applicable Legislation relevant to People Management
    • High attention to detail
