Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer with SACPCMP registration to join our team in Kroonstad.
• The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting inspections and audits, and implementing safety measures to create a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Provide safety training to new and existing employees
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and incidents
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote a positive safety culture
• Stay up-to-date on changes to safety regulations and standards
• Assist in emergency response and evacuation procedures
• Participate in safety meetings and committees

Qualifications:

• SACPCMP registration as a Safety Officer
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license
