    Face-to-Face Fundraiser-Cape Town

    Job Description

    • As a Face-to-Face Fundraiser, your primary responsibility will be to engage with the public in person in order to raise funds and awareness for our organization.
    • You will be actively seeking out potential donors, informing them about our cause, and inspiring them to make a donation or become a supporter of our organization.
    • You will be representing our organization in a positive and professional manner, building rapport with members of the public, answering questions and addressing any concerns they may have.

    Responsibilities:

    Deliveries

    • Achieving fundraising targets individually by recruiting two or more new monthly donors daily.
    • Aligning fundraising targets in conjunction with the existing strategy.
    • The targets set to address the key management targets: 10 validated sign-ups per week, age (30+), and average gift (ZAR 300+).
    • Providing regular feedback on set daily and/or weekly objectives to the team leader.
    • The objectives can consist of key performance indicators (sign-ups per hour, average gift) as well as qualitative targets (focusing on stopping certain groups of people, improving the script, objections handling, etc.)

    Coordination and communication

    • Assist with ensuring that fellow team members’ numbers and performance standards are sufficient to meet fundraising targets.
    • Assist with the training of your new team members with the support of the team leader.
    • Assist with keeping fellow team members motivated and energized to perform at their best.
    • Debrief with the team and team leader regularly to address areas of concern.
    • Maintain daily communication with team members to ensure you are all on the same page
    • Ensure company's standards and job expectations are met.

    Administration

    • Completing daily/weekly performance forms to be submitted to the team leader upon request.
    • In time sheets accurately on a daily basis for submission to the team leader at the end of every shift

    Skills and Requirements

    • Ability to meet fundraising targets and work with deadlines.
    • Face-to-face fundraising/sales experience.
    • Experience working in teams and taking leadership roles.
    • Excellent oral communication skills to be inspiring and persuasive.
    • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
    • Self-confidence and conviction – the ability to take leadership roles in difficult situations without becoming disparaged.
