    Safetycloud Virtual Reality Experience Specialist

    Job Purpose

    • To design, develop, and deliver high-quality Virtual Reality (VR) experiences that enhance SafetyCloud’s learning, training, and compliance solutions. The role combines technical VR development in Unity, creative experience design, client engagement, and project management to ensure world-class immersive learning content.

    Key ResponsibilitiesVR Development & Design

    • Design, develop, and deliver immersive VR experiences using Unity.
    • Create interactive 3D environments aligned to product and client requirements.
    • Conduct testing, optimisation, debugging, and QA across VR devices.

    Project Management

    • Manage VR projects from concept through to deployment.
    • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and delivery milestones.
    • Document development processes, handovers, and specifications for QMS.

    Client Engagement

    • Meet with clients to gather requirements.
    • Present VR concepts, demos, and prototypes.
    • Integrate client feedback into design iterations.

    Collaboration

    • Work closely with Product, Design, Development, and broader SafetyCloud teams.
    • Align all VR deliverables to business and product strategy.
    • Apply user-centred design to enhance immersion and usability.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Stay up to date with VR trends, tools, and best practices.
    • Identify opportunities to improve product quality and user experience.

    Job Requirements
    Qualifications

    • Matric (Grade 12).

    A relevant diploma/tertiary qualification in:

    • Interactive Media
    • Digital Design
    • Multimedia
    • Game Design
    • Computer Science
    • Or a closely related field.

    Experience

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience building VR experiences.
    • Proven hands-on experience using Unity for VR development.
    • A portfolio of completed VR projects is essential.

    Skills

    • Strong proficiency in Unity (VR).
    • Understanding of immersive technologies and 3D environments.
    • Knowledge of VR hardware and optimisation.
    • Strong project management and organisation.
    • Ability to work independently and in teams.
    • Strong communication and client-facing confidence.
    • Creative, detail-oriented, and quality-driven.

    Other

    • Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
    • Candidates do not have to be based in Gauteng.
