    Sales Account Manager (Cape Town/Port Elizabeth)

    Job Description

    This position fills a key role in our strategy to grow our business in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. Provide direct support to Sales Team and Department Manager, focusing on customer needs including: 

    • Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.
    • Maximizing customer satisfaction by managing and interpreting customer requirements through speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
    • Initiate sales process with potential new clients.
    • Co-ordinate with Sales and Logistics Teams to ensure delivery of products and services on a timely basis through invoicing.
    • Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience
    • Making technical presentations as required.
    • Submit a variety of Sales reports, including monthly and quarterly reports and annual Sales plans.
    • Identify and provide assistance with product sourcing support for accessory buyout items.
    • Perform such other duties, relevant to the position, as may be necessary.
    • Communicate Sales opportunities, customer concerns or suggestions.
    • Customer visits and client office based support as and when required.

    EDUCATION:

    • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field and solid experience in sales and marketing.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Min of 3 years experience in working in a Technical Sales Environment within the Energy Transition, Mining or Oil Exploration Industry essential.
    • Working within a Heavy Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacture and Projects Environment advantages.

    SKILLS:

    • Excellent motivation, organization and administration skills
    • Ability to convince customers by logical reasoning, technical backup and good salesmanship.
    • Computer literate (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
    • Attention to detail
    • Team player who can also convey a positive attitude and generate enthusiasm in others.
    • Ability to work independently
    • Accurate
    • Good time management skills.
