    Sales Coordinator

    The Opportunity
    We are building a world-class sales team to support the growth of our SaaS offering, and we’re looking for a Sales Coordinator to join us. You will assist our team of Account Executives and Solution Consultants to drive progress through exciting business opportunities with prospective and existing clients. This role provides a great opportunity to see into the world of some of the largest players in the banking, retailer and mobile network operator industries, getting to know technology in the South African Payments context. You will be based in Cape Town working with our team to grow our Value-Added Services (VAS) and Payments business.

    What you’ll do

    • Support team administration required to nurture deal velocity
    • Prepare reports for month-to-month sales target tracking and cross-departmental alignment with the supporting departments
    • Prepare commercial and legal documentation alongside the Account Executives and Project Managers, and assist in tracking the internal and external approvals thereof
    • Collaborate with our Sales, Professional Services, Finance and Technical Operations departments to assist with new client onboarding
    • Manage the lead flow from Marketing to Sales
    • Track pre-sales items and day-to-day sales tasks
    • Perform documentation checks for Sales-to-Project handovers
    • Assist with cross-departmental feedback loops
    • Maintain sales records in the CRM system
    • Coordinate internal meetings including daily, weekly and monthly team meetings, as well as quarterly strategy sessions

    What you can bring to Electrum

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Minimum 2 years of customer-facing experience, including telephonic interaction with clients
    • Practised skills in Google Sheets/Excel, and other MS office products
    • A passion for business growth and a desire to be involved in software sales
    • Collaborative
    • Great time management and planning skills: organised and strong attention to detail
    • An aptitude for process optimisation and automation
    • Sound business acumen
    • Self-motivated
    • A desire to be involved with a business vision that facilitates personal and professional growth
    • University degree
