What you will do
Scope of the Job

• The main purpose of the role is to provide product knowledge with a commercial mind set to the sales functions to ensure product suitability and optimized performance to support business objectives and targets.

Job Objective:

• To be the Sales Engineer Support to Market Africa private importers (complete continent of Africa excluding South Africa and Morocco) in a commercial way.
• Working closely with the local sales team and market directors.
• Actively participate in customer visits and activities.
• Always have updated product offer strategy, optimize product range and specifications to meet market strategy & targets for Market Africa.
• To support Product competence development.
• Contribute to offer structure and provide product customer adaptation.
• To do Competitor analysis.
• Product, Market and Transport industry segmentation.
• Continuously maintain product offering tools and related systems to be updated from product and sales standpoint.
• Secure that correct and adequate product information and relevant product tools are released and distributed to the markets.
• Monitor and develop the progress of future demands of the product range, product segmentation, competition, bodybuilders, legal activities.
• Actively work with complete customer solutions including complete vehicles, superstructures and advanced transport solutions.
• You will ensure effective leadership, coordination and general direction to reflect and promote the company’s mission, vision, aspirations and values.

Qualification & Experience:

• National Diploma in Engineering.
• Preferred Experience, Technical Skills and Knowledge.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.  
• Basic understanding of vehicle legislation.
• Experience in Volvo Trucks Businesses and Products (Advantageous).
• Experience in Volvo Trucks Systems, Tool (Advantageous).
• International Experience (Advantageous).
