    Sales Manager

    Right now, we are recruiting a Sales Manager to join our team based in our Head Office in Johannesburg, South Africa, on a full time, permanent basis. As our Sales Manager you will lead a sales network in the country and direct sales activities with primary focus on safety, customer satisfaction, sales development, profitable growth and the systematic and consistent delivery of Lifecycle care. You will w ork collaboratively across the Business Areas to support cross promotion and lead generation.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a successful sales strategy to meet growth targets. Execute on the strategy to drive profitable order entry growth; revenue, margins and other efficiency metrics. Support employees to work according to agreed ways in order to enable that desired goals are met
    • Follow actively relevant sales activities, sales development, customer satisfaction, sales performance & Funnel Management including data accuracy, funnel quantity by sales stage and category.
    • Provide accurate short, medium, long term orders forecasts
    • Drive Customer Segmentation and relevant account management.
    • Actively support in building long-term customer relationships and lead contract negotiations
    • Situational pricing overview and coaching especially on large cases in conjunction with Win Planning
    • Establish, follow up and act on set KPIs and goals, according to business plan.
    • Ensure that the sales network collaborate cross functionally to generate new lead sources and expand the target customer base, or with product and market data to ensure customer needs are met.
    • Ensure targets are delivered through coaching, people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition

    What Should You Bring

    Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have the following skills and attributes:

    • NQF level 6 in sales or electrical/mechanical engineering
    • At least 5 years of progressive experience in industrial sales and/or business management and/or Key Accounts Management
    • Proven track record and experience in a technical sales role in an industrial market
    • Ability to add value to a sales case and the ability to close orders.
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications, ERP systems and Customer Relationship Management system
    • Willing to travel locally and internationally when required.
    • Must have demonstrated leadership experience, well-developed “people” skills
    • Must have a take charge attitude, be decisive and possess a high level of responsibility
    • Must be comfortable in a fast pace, growth-oriented environment
    • Must be able to work in confined spaces; elevated areas and at heights
    • Must be able to travel locally and outside SA for operational requirements
    • Customer focused – anticipates and responds appropriately
    • Team player
    • Energetic and a self-starter
