Schemes Overnance Officer - X 1 (Ref. CSOS/SGO: GP/09/24)
Postgraduate qualification in Law and Admission as an Attorney will be advantageous.
Previous experience in Sectional Titles will be advantageous.
Advances MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Extensive knowledge of the CSOS Act & Regulations.
Knowledge of good governance Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act & Regulations.
Key Performance Areas
Ensure compliance of Community Schemes Governance Documents with all applicable legislation.
Receive the schemes governance documentation (new sectional title, amendment of an existing and registered scheme from regulation, rules, unanimous resolutions).
Liaise with the scheme for outstanding documents or information.
Conduct quality assurance on scheme’s governance documentation.
Make recommendations on rules.
Issuing, uploading and ensuring signing and approval of certificates.
Reviewing and quality assuring Section 6 (9) applications in terms of Sectional Title Schemes Management Act.
Reviewing and quality Assuring Section 13 (2) applications in terms of Sectional Title Schemes Management Act
Attending to complaints and queries
Conduct trainings
Attending to any mater incidental to the purpose of the position
Ensure that the access fee is paid by the requested before access to information is granted.
Provide the duly registered Community Scheme with the compliance certificate after approval by the Chief Ombud.
Submitting management reports on the implementation of the CSOS Act about Community Schemes Governance Documentation management.
Facilitate the development and implementation of the Governance Documentation Management Policy.
