A relevant Honours degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
Four years of relevant university / tertiary education student administration experience with a high level of technical knowledge in the Student Administration field. Highly computer literate with in-depth knowledge of computer software and applicable technological systems, e.g., ITS, Oracle, Innopac, etc. Working knowledge of the higher education sector shall be an added advantage.
Duties:
To provide effective and efficient student administration regarding applications, selection, admission, registration, and graduation to enhance higher student throughput rate.
To provide administrative support to the co-business of the faculties.
Responsible for admissions and registration of new and continuing students to different programs.
Determining whether students had fulfilled the requirements of their degrees for graduation purposes.
Capturing of completion of Qualification remarks
Take part in the arrangement of graduation ceremonies
Sending different correspondences to students
Coordination of examination matters.
Advise prospective students on qualifications offered in the faculties, admission requirements, and procedures.
Cleaning and correction of Student data for HEMIS submission
Handling of students’ application, selection, admission, and registration processes.
Promotion and fostering of compliance with University Statute; rules and regulations in the execution of Student Administrative activities.
Maintaining Student data for HEMIS reporting, and
Any delegated work by the Assistant Registrar: Student Administration.
