    Seafood Production Manager

    • A leading organisation within the fresh food and FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Seafood Production Manager to oversee and optimise seafood production operations.
    • This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a detail-oriented professional with strong operational expertise in fresh food production and a deep understanding of quality control and food safety standards.

    THE ROLE

    • You will be responsible for managing end-to-end seafood production operations, ensuring efficiency, product quality, and compliance with food safety regulations.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Managing daily seafood production operations to ensure efficiency and minimal waste
    • Overseeing processing, packaging, and storage of fresh seafood products
    • Ensuring production output aligns with demand and delivery timelines
    • Implementing and maintaining strict food safety and quality standards, including:
    • HACCP and hygiene protocols
    • Cold chain management
    • Regulatory compliance
    • Monitoring stock levels, procurement processes, and supplier quality
    • Ensuring proper handling and storage of seafood products
    • Leading, training, and managing production teams to meet performance targets
    • Driving productivity, accountability, and operational discipline across the team
    • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
    • Maintaining audit readiness and quality assurance standards
    • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
    • Collaborating with procurement and retail teams to optimise supply chain flow

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
    Key requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in seafood processing or fresh food production (essential)
    • Strong background in production operations and quality control
    • Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, cold chain management)
    • Proven experience managing teams in a production environment
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

    Advantageous:

    • Qualification in Food Science, Production Management, or related field
    • Experience within retail food production or FMCG environments
    • Understanding of seafood sourcing and handling standards
