    Segment Specialist: SME

    Role purpose

    Responsible for coordination of segment creation, and operational support associated with segment management. Develop the understanding of the SME market and the solutions which cater to these customers, through engagements with numerous departments. This is an opportunity to work in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.

    Your responsibilities will include

     

    • Contribute to the articulation of SME segment, and customer journeys for solutions for this segment.
    • Trend monitoring and identifying exploitable (relevance to Telecoms category) SME needs which will inform the business' response
    • Monitor Demand forecasts and supply levels of services/products.
    • Liaise with marketing communications team, agency partners, outside suppliers and other business partners.
    • Maintaining, managing, and building internal relationships with associated business units
    • Assist in following up and progress of a number of go to market activities to ensure success of initiatives.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of the segment strategy and the evaluation of communication ideas
    • Perform market analysis that adds value to the marketing planning processes. This requires business writing and information interpretation skills.

     

    The ideal candidate for this role willl have

    Technical / Professional Qualifications:

    • Matric essential
    • Marketing, IT Diploma/ Diploma or NQF level 7 equivalent.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

     

    • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in product management, Segment Marketing or Business Development.
    • Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Administration skills
    • Relationship Management
    • Customer Orientated
    • Team Player
    • Communication skills – verbal, written and presentation skills
    • Analytical skills
    • Innovative skills
    • Financial modelling (Advantageous)
    • Experience in Digital Service and Digital product management. Telecommunications industry (advantageous)
