Senior Accountant Receivable at Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS)

Job Description

• To monitor payment allocations.
• To administer all requests impacting the department.
• To manage the invoice generation process.
• To manage agency transactions (specific suppliers).
• To manage the general ledger accounts and Accounts Receivable module.

Job Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) plus a Finance-related Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6/7).
• 3-5 years accounts receivable and /or finance experience.

Knowledge:

• Good knowledge of Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP) and other financial and accounting principles;
• Understanding of relevant legisation, including PFMA and Treasury regulations.
• Implementation of internal controls
• Business & System processes
• Ability to make an informed decision;
• Ability to draft OLA’s, policies and procedures;
• OLA management; and
• Knowledge of Customer Services.
