Senior Analyst: Investor Relations at Vodacom

Role Purpose

To support the investor relations (IR) team in showcasing Vodacom Group’s investment case with leading institutional investors, sell-side analysts and other key stakeholders. This includes the preparation of class-leading IR material, such as results announcements and presentations. Further, to support the IR team in gathering and analysing information to generate market, industry and business feedback and insights. 
 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the quarterly results process and annual integrated report.
• Supporting with the production of investor relations material for Board and ExCo reports.
• Reviewing sell-side analyst reports and tracking consensus.
• Preparation and analysis of monthly trends.
• Keeping the IR website updated with the latest relevant information.
   

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Matric (Essential).
• 3 Year BCom financial management, accounting or similar is essential.
• Post graduate financial management or similar is preferable. 
• CA (SA) or similar is desirable. 
• CFA Charterholder is desirable.
• 2-3 years of experience in preparing, processing, analysing and presenting financial or management information.
• Proficiency in HFM (Vodacom accounting system) is preferable. 
• Experience in investing in financial markets is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and a very high level of attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills given the role requires co-ordination across many OpCo's regions and functions within Vodacom.
• Good written communication skills.
• Good task/project management skills given a wide range of responsibilities.
• A good understanding of the key financial drivers of a telecom and fintech operator, good numerical skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint in particular.
