Senior Analyst: Terminals at Vodacom

Role Purpose

The Senior Analyst: Terminals role is based within the Finance Operations division.
The role is responsible for the accurate and timely payment of suppliers including processing of invoices, supplier reconciliations, payment pack preparation, query resolution. Preparing recons and raising invoices to suppliers relating to rebates and adhoc fees receivable and resolution of queries/disputes. Month end close processes including journals, recons and preparation of reports.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Accurate processing of supplier invoices;
• Preparing foreign payment packs;
• Supplier Master data verification and maintenance;
• Reconciling of creditors balances to statements and ensuring outstanding items are resolved timeously;
• Query resolution, both internally and externally, relating to invoice processing and payments;
• Effective maintenance of the Goods Receipt reconciliation account to ensure all invoices are processed timeously;
• Building and maintaining internal and external supplier relations;
• Reconciling and raising of accounts receivable transactions;
• Attendance at stock takes for the Company owned Vodacom Shop and the main inventory warehouse.
• Follow the escalation path and non-surprise management philosophy;
• Implement process improvements relating to creditors and receivables.

Month end

• Preparation of month end journals relating to debtors and creditors;
• Reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet accounts;
• Preparing of purchases and hedging reports.

Compliance and control

• Adherence to all Policies, SOX, Internal Audit and External Audit requirements’

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Matric with 3+ years Accounting experience or
• B Degree in Accounting with 1-2 years Accounting experience
• Ability to work within a team to achieve goals
• Ability to adapt quickly in a new environment and work on multiple systems/platforms
• Excellent MS Office knowledge and skills
• Results focused; Can-do attitude
• Ability to communicate at all levels (Front line to Executives). Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and within a Global community.
• Possesses Analytical skills with attention to detail. Required to report to various stakeholders
• SOX, IFRS and local GAAP knowledge.
• End-to-end knowledge of Finance Operations activities as well as in depth knowledge of associated business processes.
• ERP knowledge - SAP , Sage
• SAP HR & SAP FI
