Senior Assistant II - Specialties Broking at Marsh

An exciting opportunity has become available in Marsh’s FINPRO team in Johannesburg and Western Cape for two Account Specialists who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring that a high degree of quality customer service is always provided to all clients.

We will count on you to:

• Providing assistance to Client Executives and/or Senior Client Executives, in all aspects of client service
• Supporting the maintenance of effective working relationships with insurers and clients
• Support the servicing and maintenance of a portfolio of clients and providing front line client service in respect of those accounts
• Implementing renewal and broking strategies in accordance with instructions received from Account Managers while liaising with claims staff to ensure clients’ interests are protected
• Ensuring the completion of activities delegated by Client Executive within determined parameters
• Ensure successful renewal of the insurance contracts of an existing client base
• Loading of policy information onto the Marsh Global Systems
• Client credit control, payment matching and rush payment requests
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines according to company standards
• Ensure receipt of signed placing slips, wordings, endorsements
• Processing of declaration and other policy adjustments when required
• Electronic filing in accordance with Marsh Minimum Standards
• Processing internal NTP transactions
• Update Marsh Force register in terms of new business

What you need to have:

• 3 years’ experience in general insurance
• At least Secondary or High School qualifications required
• Diploma or university degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Proficiency knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills to resolve any outstanding issues
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• FAIS accredited and CPD up to date
