Senior BI Developer at Flash Group

Key Responsibilities:

•  Design and assist in the optimization of our Data Warehouse and Reporting
•  Manage data quality SLAs. This includes ETL audits, error handling and controls to ensure quality of the data and the ETL process
•  Development, testing and administration of BI models (tabular, SSIS, SSAS & Visual Studio)
•  Work with business users to gather requirements, conduct analyses and prepare specifications
•  Collaborate with the Data Science team to assist in advanced analytics capabilities
•  Define best practices and standards for the data modelling process
•  Drive standardisation of business definitions with analysts and business owners
•  Documentation of BI Models.
•  Explore and recommend emerging technologies and techniques to support/enhance the existing BI infrastructure

Requirements
Skills and competencies

Required:

•  8+ years’ experience in a BI environment (language: SQL, MDX, TMSL and DAX)
•  8+ years’ experience in database design, schema design, data model and data solutions
•  8+ years’ experience in SSIS, SSAS & Visual Studio
•  Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries and stored procedures
•  Experience as a Tabular Model developer
•  Advanced expertise in using advanced level calculations on the data set to build Measures
•  Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
•  Detail orientated
