Senior BPM Process Engineer – 12-Month Contract at DeARX Services (Pty) Ltd

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership of both strategic and hands-on delivery, including:

• Discovering, validating, and documenting complex business processes
• Designing future-state, optimised workflows aligned to business strategy
• Building and modelling processes using BPMN 2.0 / DMN standards
• Developing and deploying workflows using Camunda (7/8) and IBM BAW
• Integrating workflows with custom UIs, REST APIs, and event-driven systems
• Leveraging Kafka/Confluent for real-time event streaming
• Driving AI-enabled workflow optimisation and decision automation
• Conducting process simulations, performance testing, and continuous improvement
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across business, architecture, and engineering

What you bring

• This role requires a strong blend of process expertise and technical capability:

Must-Have Experience

• 5+ years' BPM experience (non-negotiable)
• Strong experience with BPMN / DMN modelling
• Proven delivery in complex enterprise environments (banking preferred)

Technical Skills

• Camunda 7/8, Camunda Modeler (workflow design & deployment)
• IBM BPM / BAW
• Kafka / Confluent (event publishing & consumption)
• Java (11+), Spring Boot, REST APIs, JSON
• Git & CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Experience with functional & performance testing
• Strong solution design capability

• Exposure to AI-driven process optimisation
