Senior C# Software Developer at DotActiv

Introduction

DotActiv is looking for a Senior C# developer responsible for building C# applications, including anything from back-end services to their client-end counterparts. Your primary responsibilities will be to develop innovative features, manage the C# team, fix bugs, and research meaningful & relevant technologies for implementation.

The salary band will range between R30 000 - R40 000 Cost to Company depending on your qualifications and experience. You will be based at our head office in Somerset West, although during lockdown you will be expected to work remotely, and you might be required to travel from time to time.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain code base;
• Perform peer code review;
• Replicate and fix bugs;
• Research latest and relevant technologies.

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the principles of information technology in relation to products and services management
• Advanced solution knowledge (IT product knowledge and product ranges)
• Computer packages & systems currently in use by the company
• Relevant development languages (C#, AngularJS, .Net Core Framework, SQL & more)
• GIT Source Control or similar
• IIS Management
• Basic web development
• Xamarin exposure would be advantageous

Computer Skills required:

• Competent use of job-specific computer in-house systems used by the company
• Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & deploy ability within Google Suite
• Basic to Intermediate MS SQL or similar solution
• Problem-solving (Trouble-shooting)
• Intermediate MS Operating Systems
• Proficient in Visual Studio IDE

Other requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of relevant business experience & expertise within an IT development environment.
• Grade 12 as per the national senior certificate requirements (Umalusi endorsed)(Must include higher grade Mathematics; Min 6+ (70%) result)
• A relevant IT certification by a recognized & acknowledged issuing authority (E.g. A+, N+, MCSE, MCP, MCT, VCP, VCSP & more).
• A relevant B-Degree (M+3) at a recognized and SAQA accredited university will be advantageous.
• Must have a good understanding of English (Able to speak, read & write at a business proficiency level).
• Another language will be advantageous, specifically Spanish, Portuguese, German or French.
