Senior Clinical Coder at Queensland Health

The Opportunity

A Senior Clinical Coder will be as part of a cohesive clinical coding team, providing high level training, education and mentorship to coders and trainee coders in relation to ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS coding and clinical knowledge.

Employment Status

• Fixed Term Temporary full-time up to 30/06/2023, with a possibility of an extension not exceeding 11 months. Please note there are two (2) positions available.

Role Requirements

• Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
• Highly Desirable - Successful completion of Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) Intermediate Coding Course and/or Advanced Clinical Coding Course or equivalent.
• Two years clinical coding experience.
• It is a mandatory condition of employment for the employee to be and remain vaccinated against COVID-19.

• Salary range of $3632.10 to $3951.90 p.f. (AO5)
• Annual leave with 17.5% loading
• Up to 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
