Senior Cloud Consultant at Red Hat

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Routinely assess and implement Red Hat's core offerings
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing the technical, development, or strategic IT needs
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
• Adapt to changing customer requirements
• Keep knowledge updated through personal development and training
   

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience with IT infrastructure
• Solid experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or other Linux distributions and preferably other technologies like Red Hat Satellite or Red Hat OpenShift
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to a diverse audience of stakeholders
• Consulting experience; engineering and system administration experience, providing that your experience aligns with other criteria, will also be considered
• Ability to constantly learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; this could include extended periods of staying overnight during the week
• Experience using cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
• Familiarity with containers and container management is a plus
