• We’re looking for a Senior Credit Controller to take full ownership of a high-value, high-volume debtor portfolio and make a tangible impact on our business.
• The successful candidate will be a confident, hands-on professional who thrives under pressure, operates independently, and drives outcomes without reliance on escalation.
• You will act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues at source while continuously improving credit processes and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and strategically manage a complex, high-value debtor portfolio to optimise cash flow, reach collection targets, reduce overdue balances, and minimise credit risk.
• Develop, implement, and enforce advanced credit and collections strategies aligned to business and contractual requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely allocation of receipts, reconciliations, and account maintenance in full compliance with financial controls and audit standards.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting payment, working capital, and operational performance.
• Act as a senior escalation point, confidently managing difficult conversations and resolving disputes at source.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address root causes of delays and strengthen internal processes.
• Provide meaningful insights, reporting, and actionable recommendations to support financial decision-making.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance recovery rates, dispute resolution effectiveness, and overall credit performance.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification/Certification in Accounting or Finance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven experience in a shared services environment.
• Strong knowledge of business processes and financial controls.
• Systems experience with Accpac (Sage 300) and Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, high-value, and high-volume debtor portfolios.
