About the Role

Lexis+ is seeking a Senior Legal Taxonomist with cross-functional collaboration skills and legal taxonomy expertise, for a 12-month contract. The role includes creating and managing taxonomies to enhance user experience and increase revenue.

Responsibilities

• Working with content managers to effectively expand and maintain South Africa's legal taxonomy.
• Supporting Lexis+ functions, we design, develop, and manage taxonomies, metadata, and source specs.
• Organizing legal content based on topics. The system follows classification rules, making it easier to program and navigate through the content.

Requirements

• Able to understand across various practice areas
• Able to collaborate, negotiate and influence
• Able to devise complex searches to retrieve relevant content as well as the ability to distinguish content that is on-point.
• Able to have good technical ability and an aptitude for learning several proprietary taxonomy management and classification systems
