Manager - Transport Business Systems and Information at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Information Systems, Data Management and/or related Qualification
• A minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience including managerial experience
• Knowledge of local government legislation, policies and procedures
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Lead, manage and oversee the activities and operations of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), and information
• Management Systems (including GIS) in the Urban Mobility directorate.
• Develop and implement business systems and processes regarding transversal software applications, software development and contract management.
• Develop, implement, monitor and report on strategies and
•  policies in relation to business systems, spatial information as well as IT hardware and software.
• Manage the business IT and telecommunication needs within the directorate.
• Ensure integration and management of existing spatial data and information across directorate.
• Enable and oversee the identification of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) needs across directorate.
• Ensure stakeholder relationship management.
• Managing personnel performance, productivity and discipline.
• Ensure adherence to the Council's financial policies, procedures and the provisions of the MFMA.
• Function as the CAR project champion for the directorate
