Senior Draughtsman at Weylandts

Key Accountabilities:

• Design and develop detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready shop drawings for furniture products.
• Design CAD shop drawings detailing dimensions and comprehensive instructions.
• Produce CAD assembly drawings, ensure they are clear and accurate.
• Ensure that all drawings are stored and maintained, incorporating any design revisions or updates as needed.
• Ensure accurate CNC programming for efficient operation of CNC machinery for production purposes.
• Generate and maintain accurate product Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure all components are accounted for and updated in accordance with design changes or material specifications.
• Follow drawing through production process and monitor quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Industrial Engineer on machinery machine schedules and improvements.

Technical skills:

• Grade 12
• A relevant degree or advanced technical certification in Furniture Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 + years experience in similar role
• Computer literate, software required:
• AutoCAD Lt
• Fusion 360
• Microsoft Office
• CNC Programming (various)
• Drivers license
