Design and develop detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready shop drawings for furniture products.
Design CAD shop drawings detailing dimensions and comprehensive instructions.
Produce CAD assembly drawings, ensure they are clear and accurate.
Ensure that all drawings are stored and maintained, incorporating any design revisions or updates as needed.
Ensure accurate CNC programming for efficient operation of CNC machinery for production purposes.
Generate and maintain accurate product Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure all components are accounted for and updated in accordance with design changes or material specifications.
Follow drawing through production process and monitor quality and accuracy.
Collaborate with the Industrial Engineer on machinery machine schedules and improvements.
Technical skills:
Grade 12
A relevant degree or advanced technical certification in Furniture Design, Engineering, or a related field.
5 + years experience in similar role
Computer literate, software required:
AutoCAD Lt
Fusion 360
Microsoft Office
CNC Programming (various)
Drivers license
