Senior Electrical Engineering Technician- Engineering Services at Drakenstein Municipality

JOB PURPOSE:

• Plan, executive and control the asset management function of the Electro-Technical Services Division, including activities and duties related to the development of an asset management plan, asset plan maintenance, database information management, GIS management, maintenance of GIS infrastructure, asset acquisitions and funding, asset operations and maintenance, asset risk management, asset disposal, as well as attending to administration, reporting, communications, personnel supervision and control, knowledge transfer, training and vehicle maintenance responsibilities.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

• Bachelors or B-Tech Degree in GIS (NQF 7)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Code B drivers’ licence
• Computer literacy (ArcGIS, AutoCAD, XMS, Crystal Reports, Impro, ConsumerPro, Memo, CAD)
• Human relations and communication skills
• Ability to give attention to detail
• Very High level of responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure without tolerance for errors
• Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape
