    Senior Engineer (Infrastructure)

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Act as Employers Agent on Large Infrastructure Projects.
    • Review project technical deliverables.
    • Manage brownfield projects’ processes.
    • Manage technicians and junior engineers.
    • Manage GCC2015, SANS1200 & Colto/COTO processes.
    • Procure Contractors in accordance with Client Supply Chain Management Policy.
    • Compile tender documents in CIDB format, evaluation, and adjudication of tenders.
    • Undertake duties of the Employers Agent/Engineer in accordance with GCC20

    Requirements

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant engineering degree - BEng / BTechEng.
    • ECSA professional registration - PrEng / PrTechEng.
    • Professional Construction Project Manager registration will be advantageous.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years post Pr Registration relevant experience.
    • Experience as an Employers Agent on at least 5 Infrastructure Roads projects to the value of more than R50m.
    • Experience in managing brownfield projects.
    • Experience with GCC2015, SANS1200 & Colto/COTO

    • Generate creative solutions to work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with organisational problems & opportunities.
    • Be aware of the various technologies available and to provide appropriate & best practice solutions as well as represent GIBB in the industry.
    • Understand and successfully apply Risk and Quality Management Principals and system.
    • Understand and apply effective financial controlling principals.
    • Chair and minute technical meetings.
    • Honest, responsible & self-motivated.
