    Senior Facilities Manager

    Twin City has a new position in the capacity of Senior Facilities Manager for their existing retail portfolio. 


    • Responsible for managing the facilities of our buildings.
    • Responsible for negotiating SLA's with various service providers.
    • Responsible for strategic input in managing the following aspects of the assets: Security, Cleaning, Health and Safety, Refuse and Recycling, Gardening, Maintenance, Solar plants, Water and Electricity billing etc
    • Responsible for managing expenses related to the above services.


    • Degree in management preferred
    • Relevant experience and or certifications in facilities management.


    • At least 5 year's experience in the Property industry
    • Previous experience in Retail facilities Management advantageous
    • High business acumen and entrepreneurial thinker
    • An analytical and solutions-driven individual with high emotional intelligence



    •       Energy management (including meter readings) and municipal accounts (including electronic recoveries)
    •       Identify operational risks and measures to rectify the same
    •       Oversee and manage the property maintenance together with the relevant technical teams
    •       Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the property, based on information provided by Facilities specialists
    •       Negotiate SLA's with various service providers.
    •       Manage and improve all aspects of the following services: Security, Cleaning and Hygiene, Health and safety, Refuse and Recycling, Gardening, General maintenance, Solar plants, Water and electricity billing.


    •       To prepare, review annual budgets and forecasts with input from the Finance team
    •       Ongoing reporting and monitoring of key budget aspects with the Finance team
    •       Monitor and report on expenses related to facilities management
    •       Ultimately drive to manage the facilities as cost-effective as possible.


    •       Develop and maintain long term beneficial relationships with all the relevant service providers to get the best possible service and the best possible price
    •       Assist Asset Managers, Property Managers and Centre Managers in resolving facility-related challenges.


    •       MS Excel and spreadsheets proficiency
    •       Able to influence the team and colleagues in a positive and uplifting manner to ensure a collaborative working environment exists between all employees
    •       Excellent communication skills
    •       Strong people management and leadership skills
    •       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    •       Strong planning ability, attention to detail and deliver on deadlines
    •       Strong management reporting skills and interpretation of data
    •       Must be a team player
    •       Must be willing to travel regularly to assets in South Africa.


    •       Cost to company per annum: market-related
