Senior Graphic Designer (Pretoria) at Adams & Adams

Duties and responsibilities

• Think creatively to produce new and fresh ideas.
• Design a wide variety of printed and digital collateral such as the firm's corporate identity, stationery, indoor/outdoor signage materials, newspaper advertisements, promotional materials, PowerPoint presentations, web layouts, social media elements, outdoor media, internal and external communications, stationery, etc.
• Communicate ideas with relevant stakeholders through meetings and feedback that results in approval of designs prior to implementation.
• Create designs that are artistically interesting and appealing to clients and consumers.  
• Produce rough illustrations of design ideas, either by hand sketching or by using a computer program.
• Manage a full suite of visual collateral for each project from typesetting through to design, and final digital (including social media platforms) and/or print formatting.
• Create Internal and external communication mailers such as invitations, confirmations, product updates, birthdays, religious holidays, sport events etc. with quick turn-around times.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Liaise with external printers and digital service providers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is produced to the highest quality.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs.
• Produce accurate and high-quality design work on time.
• Manage database of stock images, files, photographs and reference material.
• Ability to proofread own work to produce accurate and high-quality work.
• General administration work within the portfolio
• Regularly research new media, particularly design programs/applications, online software, plug-ins, etc.

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Advanced knowledge of pre-press and print production
• Ability to make changes on the back end of a WordPress / Umbraco website or other CMS platforms.
• Both Mac and PC hardware/software

 Qualification/s

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design is required
• Approximately 5 – 7 experience in similar environment
