    Senior Human Resources Business Partner Group Services - Johannesburg

    • The Senior HR Business Partner will partner with Support Line Managers and Nandocas to guide and support the full HR value chain. The role will develop and drive the implementation of relevant People initiatives and provide People insights to enable effective decision-making within Nandos Group Services and Support.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education (Formal Qualification Required)
    Minimum:

    • NQF level 7 or equivalent qualification (Human Resources/ Industrial Psychology)

    Advantageous:

    • Post graduate qualification (Relevant)

    Legal Requirements (e.g. Driver’s License etc.)

    • Driver’s License
    • Experience (Minimum Experience Required - type and number of years)

    Minimum:

    • 5 years’ HR generalist experience
    • Strong experience in Employee Relations

    Advantageous:

    • Previous FMCG, Hospitality or Retail experience
    • HRBP experience within Nando's

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Group People Support (20%):

    • Ensure the implementation of the People strategy and business plan within Nandos Group Services
    • Provide input to People strategy, policies, practices, and principles on an ongoing basis and where relevant
    • Identify gaps in relevant departments to address challenges in departments and creation/execution of initiatives to support requirements
    • Actively identify gaps in HR process, policy, and procedure and propose changes necessary to reduce risks and maintain governance
    • Provide People support and guidance at various Group Service Support forums
    • Implement special projects in Group Service Support that contribute towards the achievement of the People Strategy

    Stakeholder Management (10%):

    • Provide guidance and support to Line Management
    • Enable Line Management and Group Service Nandocas with regard to People initiatives and programs
    • Provide support to Group Service Nandocas 

    Talent Management (10%):

    • Manage the overall recruitment coordination across the business and the services provided 
    • Manage the recruitment of Group Service Nandocas
    • Lead the Onboarding of new Group Service Nandocas to ensure the best experience for Nandocas
    • Facilitate talent management activities such as succession planning, developing a diverse talent pipeline that meets the short- and long-term goals of the departments.

    Reward and Goal Management (10%):

    • Provide guidance and support to Line Managers on the management and implementation of the Goal Management process
    • Monitor the implementation of the Goal Management process, providing support to Line Managers and Nandocas
    • Assess gaps in the goal management process at Group Service and provide input
    • Provide training to new and existing Line Managers relating to the various steps in the Goal Management process
    • Facilitate reward and recognition programs as required for Group Service Nandocas 

    Employee Relations (10%):

    • Investigate and resolve any Nandoca careline / Whistle Blower complaints as well as any formally raised grievances
    • Provide guidance on and co-facilitate performance improvement processes for Group Service Nandocas
    • Implement and advise on ER policies and procedures to ensure fair and equitable practices
    • Effectively manage disciplinary issues at Group Service
    • Support the disciplinary and grievance processes
    • Guide, prepare for, and manage the drafting, issuing, scheduling, and preparation of disciplinary hearings, attending CCMA and Bargaining Council cases, as required for Central Support
    • Consult, guide, and co-facilitate discussions on any changes to Nandoca terms and conditions
    • Manage Section 189 processes, as per the Labour Relations Act
    • Manage the services provided by external partners, such as the GEO (Guardian Employers Organisation)

    HR Compliance and Governance (10%):

    • Act as a key contact point for Nandocas and Line Managers in Group Service, including coaching and advising on HR needs and people practices
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Company policies
    • Implement People policies and procedures, ensuring that these are effectively communicated and understood
    • Address non-compliance to HR policies, processes, and procedures
    • Communicate, implement, and monitor the Employment Equity plan to ensure that targets are achieved
    • Identify EE gaps and propose and implement programs to address these

    Oversee People governance

    • Manage compliance to Nando’s Code of Conduct
    • Align and ensure fair practice between Group Service Nandoca's

    Safe and Legal: (10%):

    • Ensure legal compliance with all people-related issues e.g. employee equity, POPIA. Across all teams, you’ll ensure all employee relations are managed effectively within teams, supporting accordingly. If escalated due to risk, cost, or profile, you’ll provide ongoing support and guidance.

    Culture: (10%):

    • Driving culture on a daily basis, you’ll be passionate about how culture is interwoven into everything we do as well as spotting initiatives that celebrate and bring to life aspects of our culture, including our purpose-led work to change lives, together.
