Senior Internal Auditor (Fixed Term Contract – 8 Months) at Glencore

Responsibilities:

• Leading and delivering audit engagements.
• Coordinate audit planning activities including defining priorities, scope areas, budgets, resource allocation and interactions with stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed audit work programmes considering relevant internal standards and accepted industry practices.
• Identify control gaps, determine root causes, and support the business in developing appropriate mitigating actions plans.
• Prepare audit reports and communicate results with relevant management.
• Monitoring and review of finding and management action closure.
• Undertake ad-hoc special reviews as required.
• Build key stakeholder relationships and develop a comprehensive understanding of the business.
• Understand current and emerging risks and use this knowledge to provide relevant insights.

The ideal candidate:

Qualification:

• University degree in areas of study such as (not limited to) Business, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, HSEC/ESG, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CA, CPA or CISA (Advantageous)

Experience:

• Has at least 5 years of working experience in internal or external audit in an international environment, preferably in the mining or similar.
• Is operationally excellent with a hands-on approach, producing high-quality work while meeting deadlines.
• Familiar with the mining/extractives industry and key risks.
• Has excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Russian would be advantageous but not required.
• Is flexible to work in a global team across various time zones.
