Senior Lecturer / Lecturer - Religion Studies - Faculty of Theology and Religion at University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaching undergraduate modules;
• Supervision of postgraduate students;
• Research and publication;
• Participating in administrative duties in the faculty.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Lecturer:

• A relevant Master’s degree;
• At least 1 publication in an accredited journal;
• Relevant academic administration experience.

Senior Lecturer:

• A relevant doctoral degree;
• At least 3 years’ tertiary experience or relating teaching experience;
• At least 3 accredited quality journals publications;
• Evidence of conference papers delivered and community engagement;
• Experience in academic administration and knowledge of departmental committees.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):

• Good communication skills;
• Competent writing skills;
• Willingness to learn (i.e., Learning Management System and the use of technology enhancing learning);
• Be able to work in a team;
