    Senior Logistics Coordinator (Centurion)

    Description

    • The Senior Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the management, planning, optimisation, coordination, administration, and execution of contracts. The role ensures efficient logistics operations while maintaining professional relationships with business units and transporters.

    Requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain will be an advantage
    • 4–5 years of work experience in a Logistics and Operations environment

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Update and manage business unit planning schedules
    • Handle RFQ processes, negotiate rates, and secure capacity with transporters
    • Execute physical logistics and oversee transport contracts
    • Plan and coordinate daily vehicle load schedules and delivery slots
    • Communicate any changes or deviations to relevant stakeholders
    • Oversee and ensure timely reporting on contract performance
    • Maintain accurate transporter and business unit rate records
    • Inform business units of any delays or breakdowns affecting deliveries
    • Maintain strong relationships with business units and transporters
    • Ensure effective contract management and stakeholder engagement
    • Identify & execute optimisation opportunities effectively

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • In-depth logistics knowledge (agricultural logistics experience is advantageous)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Understanding of transportation cost structures and management
    • Experience with ERP systems (advantageous)
    • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
    • Own reliable transport and a valid South African Driver’s Licence
