Job Description
Location: 

• Situated in the Piet Retief/Panbult area, ± 55 km from Piet Retief, Kangra Coal (Pty) Ltd. is a modern, mechanized mine.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Logistics qualification in road haulage or fleet / TMM management
• Computer literate, MS Office, Excel
• Driver’s license
• Trade Certificate (Diesel Mechanic) will be advantageous

Experience:

• 5 - 10 year’s coal logistics or fleet / TMM management
• Working with yellow equipment experience will be an added advantage
• Must be familiar with Environmental and MHSA
• Senior management position experience will be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that haulage contractor is compliant to all safety rules and regulations as prescribed by the MHSA
• Assess risks associated in the designated areas of responsibility
• Implement and manage the necessary control measures
• Ensuring availability of vehicles and machinery
• Set out guidelines and targets for road haulage per section
• Ensure adequate road maintenance and repairs are conducted on all haul roads
• Review and implement the required traffic management plans for haul roads
• Ensure quarterly vehicle and machinery tagging are conducted as per schedule
• Effective communication with all the relevant stakeholders
• Report any unlawful and/or illegal incidents to the chain of command
• Responsible for risk management in the area of operation
• Responsible for coal hauling reconciliation daily, weekly and monthly
