Senior Materials Planner at Revlon

Position Summary:

• To ensure the effective planning of the long- and short-term materials requirements based on sales forecasts submitted by the Marketing Department

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field of study
• 5 years’ experience in a materials planning role preferably in the FMCG environment

Skills:

• Highly computer literate in MS Office suite – Word, Excel and Power Point
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good team player
• Self-motivated and the ability to work without supervision
• Takes full ownership of their realm of tasks and responsibilities
• Ability to work under pressure and at speed
• Experience in ERP systems required (AS400 experience will be an advantage)
• Must have high attention to detail without compromising sense of urgency
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, able to think methodically and analytically
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to meet frequent deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with and through others to get done what needs to be done

Essential Duties and Responsiblities:

• Check Material requirements, forecasts (F.O.P) to ensure that sales demands are met for production planner without building excess inventory. 
• Interpret material requirements plan reports, request new and basic components, labels, raw materials based on M.R.P. 
• Tracking of shortages and updating all relevant parties, e.g. Planning, Materials Manager, Sales, Marketing of any delays or risk to business due to materials availability. 
• Scheduling and placing new orders as per latest M.R.P. 
• Forecasts to be sent to all suppliers monthly. 
• Tracking of supplier deliveries, O.T.I.F – On time in full, to highlight problematic suppliers and performance.  
• Maintain SLA’S with suppliers. (SAFETY STOCK AGREEMENTS)
• Setup monthly meetings with Critical suppliers and problematic suppliers to ensure supply on time and order tracking. 
• To Track all outstanding orders and reduce with supplier. 
• Ensure that phase in and phase out of old materials and new materials are maintained and updated monthly based on requirements which are aligned with, NPD, sales and marketing teams, by maintaining end and start dates with Master data Co-ordinator.
• Ensure that supplier lead times are updated and aligned in system to ensure accurate planning of materials. 
• Ensure that promotional and basic production requirements are prioritized for all materials to be received as required for production / launch 
• Tracking on NPD’S for new launches to ensure materials available for Production. 
• Share reports to updated daily, example Finished Good Report, to assist Production Planning and to also highlight to business ahead of time potential risks or risks. 
• Slow Obsolete stocks to be kept to a minimum ensuring correct phase in and phase out is done and sign offs for redundant materials.
