Senior Middleware Developer (12-Month Contract) at DeARX Services (Pty) Ltd

• We're looking for an experienced Senior Middleware Developer with strong Java Spring Boot development expertise to join a leading banking environment in Sandton. If you enjoy solving complex integration challenges, working with modern DevOps practices, and collaborating with talented technology teams, we'd love to hear from you.

As part of a high-performing engineering team, you will:

• Design, develop and support enterprise middleware solutions using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based APIs
• Configure, administer and optimise IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and WebSphere Liberty Profile (WLP)
• Develop secure integrations using IBM DataPower, API Connect, and Business Automation Workflow (BAW)
• Ensure middleware applications are highly available, scalable and performant within Linux/Unix environments
• Manage and optimise SQL Server databases supporting middleware applications
• Containerise applications using Docker
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Produce technical documentation using Jira and Confluence
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts and infrastructure teams to deliver quality solutions

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' experience in middleware development and administration
