    Senior Municipal Public Accounts Committee Officer

    Job Purpose:

    • To monitor compliance on Municipal Public Accounts support.

    Requirements:

    • Matric Certificate
    • Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration/Law/Political Science /Ethics/Public Governanc /Financial Management/Accounting/Auditing recognised by SAQA
    • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in municipal administration or municipal governance environment
    • A valid driver’s license.

    Duties:

    • Ensure compliance with Financial Regulation, Municipal Financial Management Act and municipal policies
    • Analyse Municipal Financial reports and statements
    • Facilitate municipal Public Accounts Committee meeting and hearings
    • Maintain Public Account Stakeholder engagements
    • Review implementation of Public Accounts recommendations
    • Provide Public Accounts capacity building programmes
