    Senior Professional Officer- Area Economic Development

    Requirements

    • Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification
    • 5-8 years relevant experience
    • Code B Drivers’ licence
    • Computer Proficiency

    Key Performance Areas

    • Executes the application of functional procedures, systems and controls associated with key performance areas with respect to service delivery.
    • Controls the implementation of the department’s business plan and operational outcomes within the assigned area.
    • Monitoring and ensuring correct and consistent utilisation of the Informal Trading Permit System (ITPS) by all staff in the assigned area
    • Ensuring implementation of the informal trading Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Monitoring the drafting, reviewing and implementing of informal trading plans in accordance with the provisions of the Informal Trading Policy and introduced to By-Law and standard operating procedures.
    • Participating in the drafting informal trading policy, Bylaw development processes etc.
    • Applying the organisational and directorate Project, Supply Chain Management and Contract Management operating, governance, monitoring and reporting systems.
    • Controls outcomes associated with the utilization, productivity and performance of personnel in the area.
    • Management, maintenance and control of all fixed and movable assets within the assigned area.
    • Oversee the liaison with all relevant stakeholders within the assigned area.
    • Provision of general administrative duties within the assigned area.
