Key Performance Areas
Establish a GIS data management function, in support of the City's Integrated Human Settlements Framework, which includes the capturing, forward planning, quality assurance, maintenance, and dissemination of the City's Informal Settlement Development Matrix
Manage the design and implementation of processes for the acquisition and capturing of urbanisation spatial data
Develop and establish processes to undertake the quality assurance of informal settlement base data
Provide specialist spatial analysis advice and guidance to strategic City wide urbanisation initiatives
Managing the building of derived datasets by analysing and manipulating data.
Managing the GPS datasets, analysing and manipulating data as needed
Establishing and overseeing the processes for the capturing of the core datasets from various sources (aerial photography, GPS surveys, Trimble surveys, field staff etc.)
Facilitate participation of relevant stakeholders in the identification, development and adoption of spatial datasets and information in support of the Integrated Human Settlements Framework, and its supporting policies, guidelines and projects
