    Senior Safety Compliance Officer.INT KIA

    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Aviation Quality Safety and will be responsible for the following:

    • Provide input into planning process within the section and execute the approved plan in accordance with policies, procedures and processes to ensure achievement of operational targets.
    • Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
    • Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
    • Implement and enforce the ACSA SHEQ Enforcement Systems, Safety Management System, policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
    • Conduct compliance audits, report on and follow-up to ensure that non-conformances/compliance have been addressed.
    • Maintain a balance between environmental conservation and development and participate in Risk assessment for new projects, existing and where there is a change in operation or product.
    • Ensure that corrective actions are implemented and closed-off in respect of all reported non-conformances, risks and remedial actions.
    • Compile final incident and accident investigation reports as per policy requirements.
    • Perform trend analyses, compile, and submit SHEQ reports as per required timelines.
    • Participate in implementation of SHERQ Campaigns, provide On-Job HIRA workshop, Safety Management Systems, OHS and SHE Induction, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other SHE related training to ACSA Stakeholders and develop and conduct relevant Safety , Health and environmental campaigns with the airport community.
    • Comply with work rules, standards and methods, take care to minimise waste.
    • Participate in people development initiatives such as performance management, succession planning and talent management to ensure team performance meet required standards and coach employees on lower levels to ensure knowledge transfer and skills development.
    • Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organisational goals.
    • Ensure that compliance is achieved through providing safety guidance to stakeholders on ground operation and enforce compliance where non conformances identified.
    • Participate on risk assessment on new projects , existing projects and where there is change in operations or product.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience will be required:

    • Diploma in Safety / Environmental / Risk Management / Public Health.
    • 3 years bachelor’s degree in safety / Environmental / Risk Management / Public Health is recommended.
    • 2-3 years Operational Safety / Environmental / Risk Management / Public Health.
    • 2 years Operational Safety/Environment/Risk and Quality management in an airport environment is recommended.
