Senior Software Engineer at Pavago

About the Role

• We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong full-stack development experience to build, improve, and maintain reliable software products.
• The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the frontend and backend, developing APIs, working with databases, and supporting cloud-based applications. You will work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-quality solutions and improve existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications across frontend and backend.
• Build user-facing features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and GraphQL using modern backend technologies.
• Work with databases and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Build and maintain Docker-based applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify effective solutions.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical decisions, and process improvements.
• Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing when needed.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience building and supporting production software applications.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD processes.
• Strong understanding of software development, debugging, testing, and code quality.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum or similar development processes.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Availability during U.S. business hours.
