Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:

• The Senior Specialist: BI Reporting and Analytics will ingest and analyze data from multiple sources and create reports to translate business needs into meaningful insights. Responsible for using innovative and modern tools and techniques to automate the most-common, repeatable, and tedious data preparation tasks and reports.
• Supports the senior leadership with insights, management reports, and analysis for decision-making process

Job Specifications/ Minimum & Preferred Requirements
Education / Business Degree    

• Minimum of 3-year tertiary degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
• Fluent in English

Work Experience    

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a BI reporting and analytics environment, with experience in a complex, technology-oriented industry.
• Minimum 5 years working with SAS, SQL, Python, R (or similar), Power BI.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with complex data and performance frameworks.
• Minimum 3 years working experience on big data environments, tools, and techniques.
• Experience in scripting languages and advanced analytical software to solve complex business problems.
• Experience working in a medium to large organisation.

Training    

• Reporting and advanced analytics.
• Database modelling and data warehousing principles (SQL)
• Strong Programming skills (R, SAS, Python, C++, Java, etc…)
• Data Visualisation (Power BI, OBIEE, Tableau etc.)

• Collaborate with BICC in ensuring compliance and governance during data use.
• Lead data driven project teams by serving as the senior technical thought leader; working with various business units to translate project goals into analytical and reporting requirements.

• Utilise big data analytics to analyse data and extract meaningful business insights.

• Create reporting of control coverage, control performance and report control gaps (both Primary and Secondary).
• Integration of multiple data sources into a centralized reporting platform.
• Accountable for stakeholder & executive reporting and dashboards.
• Prepare reports on operational performance and detailed reports on specific projects when required.
