    Senior Specialist: Hospitality & Events Marketing

    Job Summary

    • We’re looking for a Senior Specialist: Hospitality & Events Marketing to design and deliver world-class client experiences that strengthen relationships, elevate our brand, and drive measurable business growth.
    • As the strategic lead for hospitality and proprietary event experiences, you will bring together creativity, data, technology, and human-centred design to create standout experiences across Africa.
    • You will craft elevated engagements that fuse ambience, storytelling, and personalised touchpoints — turning every moment into a meaningful opportunity for connection, loyalty, and commercial impact.
    • This role sits at the crossroads of experiential marketing, digital innovation, and strategic relationship building.

    Job Description

    Role

    Strategic Experience Design

    • Lead a personalised hospitality and event strategy aligned to business goals.
    • Translate strategic objectives into actionable event plans with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.
    • Continuously refine experiences using insights, behavioural data, and client feedback.

    Customer Experience & Relationship Building

    • Design emotionally resonant, high‑impact client experiences.
    • Personalise engagements based on audience insights.
    • Foster networking and connection opportunities that strengthen loyalty and advocacy.

    Growth, ROI & Commercial Impact

    • Demonstrate business value by linking event outcomes to pipeline, cross‑sell, retention, and brand equity.
    • Drive cost‑efficient, scalable, sustainability‑aligned event delivery.

    Innovation & Digital Integration

    • Champion new formats, multi‑sensory design, and hybrid/digital event strategies.
    • Leverage CRM, Cvent, automation and digital analytics to optimise engagement.
    • Pilot innovative approaches that elevate client and stakeholder experience.

    Leadership & Collaboration

    • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
    • Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, sales, product, and coverage teams.
    • Manage vendors, budgets, risk, compliance, and governance for flawless delivery.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, Events Management or related field (NQF7).
    • 5–12 years’ experience in strategic events management, with at least 3 years in a people‑leadership role.
    • Proven success delivering experiential marketing in financial services, consulting, fintech, SaaS or other high‑value B2B environments.
    • Strong digital/hybrid events experience.
    • Demonstrated excellence in portfolio‑level event strategy, stakeholder management, and presenting to senior leadership.
    • Experience in data‑driven decision‑making, customer‑centric design, optimisation, and technology adoption.

    Education

    • Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies, Master's Degree: Digital Marketing and Emerging Technology
