Senior State Accountant: Claims Creditors at The Department of Employment and Labour

REQUIREMENTS:          

• An undergraduate qualification in Accounting/ Cost and Management Accounting / Financial Management / Public Finance Management / Business Management/ Economics/ Auditing at NQF Level 6 as recognised by SAQA. Two (2) years' experience in Finance environment.
• Knowledge: Generally Recognised Accounting Principles (GRAP). Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Batho Pele Principles. Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA). Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA). Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act (UICA). Financial delegations, processes and policies of UIF. Financial Management Principles and Financial Management Directives from the Treasury.
• Skills: Financial Management. Communication. Training and Coaching. Diversity Management. Problem Solving. Computer Literacy. Time Management. Report Writing. Planning and Organising. Analytical. Numeracy. Presentation. Interpersonal.

DUTIES :   

• Process daily payment of approved benefit claims to eligible beneficiaries. Verification of open vouchers.
• Provide information for Financial reports on benefits payments. Verify beneficiary claims. Supervise resources in the Sub-Directorate.
